Reishi, a mushroom with exceptional immunomodulating and antiviral properties, is a potent adaptogen. Extensively studied in Japan for potential anti-cancer properties, Reishi mushrooms have been found to contain numerous potential cancer-fighting substances. It offers important immune-modulation properties.

Reishi reduces inflammatory cytokines and at the same time improves the response against threatening microbes and mutated cancer cells. It is considered useful for calming autoimmune responses. It is calming and improves sleep. Anti-fatigue properties are related to restoration of normal adrenal-cortical function.

Reishi offers significant cardiovascular benefit and has been used to alleviate altitude sickness, suggesting that it may also increase oxygenation of tissues (a good thing because many intracellular pathogens thrive in a low-oxygen environment). Reishi is liver and heart protective. Excellent antiviral and immunomodulator.

Suggested dosage: 1-2 grams (1000-2000 mg) whole mushroom powder or 150-500 mg standardized extract (minimum 20% beta glucans preferred) two to three times daily.

Side effects: Extremely well tolerated with rare side effects and no known toxicity.
